About Precision Pearl Inc.

Since 1993, Tom Ellis and Precision Pearl Inc. have been Manufacturing pearl inlay for the guitar industry. We use only grade A mother-of-pearl from the Philippines. We have the best selection of abalone available. We also offer guitar inlays cut from Abalam®. For accuracy and consistency, our pearl inlays are cut using CNC technology in Austin TX.
We have a total of Twelve cutter heads, with six dedicated for running solid shell, three for Abalam®, and three for wood. Our production capacity is 2,000 pearl inlays per day.
The Precision Pearl team consists of Tom Ellis and his 7 employees. Cathy, the business manager, is here to help customers old and new with their guitar inlay concerns. Emily, Tom's oldest daughter, has taken over the majority of design and programming. Nate assists with fixturing, technical issues and programming. Melba, who has worked for Tom since 1994, is a master at sorting pearl inlays, putting orders together and running machines. Sandy and Ginger glue up panels to run on the machines. Sandy also operates the pearl cutting machines. And Mary routes the wood cavities, cuts the Abalam® inlays and does all the hand inlaying.
